Why should we work with you?

"We're talking to Acme Video, a really big company with a lot of equipment and their own building. Why would we want to go with you -you're smaller?"
The best answer for me to give you is that when you work with me....you actually WORK WITH ME.

I am the driving force behind your project every step of the way. From now until the very end. If you need something, you can call me anytime. even if it's after hours or on the weekend. I don't have an answering service or a recording that explains what my business hours are and when I will be back in the office. When you work with ACME Video, your project manager will be someone that has a few years experience in the video business. Inevitably, you'll end up paying twice the price for half the expertise. Again, when you work with me, you get over 12 years of experience working directly for you. I do have assistants but they are just that...assistants. My assistants do not MANAGE any part of your project. That's my job.
I do my best to keep my overhead low so when you hire me, much more of your money is actually going towards your project, whereas when you hire Acme Video, a large portion of your money goes to cover the cost of their equipment and building.
I believe that I'll be able to better meet your creative and budgetary needs. We guarantee your satisfaction.

How much?

Video production pricing is a lot like buying a car. A whole lot depends on the model and accessories you want. My video work has recently ranged from $400 to almost $2,000 per minute. We can give you a really high quality video for something in the $800 per minute range, which translates to somewhere between, say the $5,000 and $7,500 total price range. Of course, this is just a ballpark figure. I'll be happy to learn more and prepare a formal proposal with a refined price.

What do I get?

"I know that may seem expensive at first, but after you consider all of the behind the scenes work that goes into your production [after shooting], you'll see that it is a very reasonable rate. You might compare my services to any other professional services; look at tax preparation, electrician, or a doctor removing stitches. What you are paying for is their reliability, expertise, and ability to do the job right the first time, which is exactly what I have to offer.
Here is a a sampling of what is included in a typical project :
Consulting with the Client to develop a video script from the Client's written audio script.

Videotaping using professional cameras. In High Definition or not.

Editing, titles, graphics, and special effects.

Royalty-free stock audio tracks from our library.

How long will it take?

That really depends upon the type of project you are producing. A typical TV commercial takes about a week to produce, but, a long format corporate training video can take up to a month. In some extreme cases, a 30 second TV commercial can be produced in 1 day, but there are additional costs associated with it. The key is to plan ahead. Anticipate the need if possible, that way your project can be produced at the lowest possible cost.

Do you finance?

[No, but we do accept all major credit cards. We do expect payment at time of delivery of the final project. For many long format programs we ask for a deposit of 1/3 of the quoted price.
